This course is for practitioners looking to extend their treatment services to children ages 4-10.
We will focus on the fabrication, delivery, and adjustment of lightwire expanders: The bent wire system (BWS), and the advanced lightwire functional (ALF). A tutorial in wire bending will also be provided.
You can dramatically extend the usefulness of the Myobrace system in your office by learning the bent wire system, a removable lightwire lingual appliance that can help develop the arch and align teeth is a more efficient and certain way.
The ALF is particularly useful for children age 4-6 to give them a head start in maxillary development, and that is the application that will be taught in this class.
This hands on workshop will start from the basics of wire bending, the fabrication of the appliances, the clinical handling of the appliance, and finish with live patient examples.
we will also host veteran ALF practitioner and educator, Dr. Gavin James.
Gavin will teach us about the relevance of cranial strains to ALF design and adjustment, about the quantum view of human biology and biomimetic treatment, and about the usefulness of muscle testing to guide therapeutics...all while learning your wire-bending and adjustment skills.
With some at-home practice, the student will be able to add these protocols to their service mix almost immediately.
